Frontier at Grocer  features a selection of new works by Jaime Jenkins, Salome Tanuvasa, Ruby Wilkinson, Grace Mirams, and Liam Philp, from Tauranga, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), and Pōneke (Wellington). This show also marks the official launch of Mount Maunganui’s newest contemporary art space, providing a platform for exploring local and national art. 

Rocklands Italita Tiles, is a work that was created in the final weeks of Grace’s time at her studio in Rocklands, Tāmaki — a large, rundown mansion built in 1865. Reflecting on her experience, Grace shared, “It was a place that had a significant impact on my practice. It was as if I went back in time when I worked there. Many facets of the building remain in their original state, while others have fallen away.”
